In My Mailbox (1)

I went book shopping online today and bought 3 books for my nook.

Peter and Wendy by J.M. Barrie - I bought this book for an upcoming book club and plan to start reading it right away.

The Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick

About Me

My name is Nikki and I am an avid reader and writer. I had been thinking about starting this blog for awhile now and finally bit the bullet. I can remember loving words from as far as first grade. I remember learning how to read and learning the sounds each letter made. I can remember sitting on the floor with my first grade teacher as she taught me how to read. My next vivid memory was from second grade. After lunch we had 30 minutes of reading time. Back then it was called SSR (Sustained Silent Reading). I would gather my books and hide somewhere in the room so that when the teacher said it reading time was over, I would take a few more minutes to read while everyone else put their books away before recess. My love of writing developed much later - in middle school. It started out as keeping a journal or a diary but quickly evolved into poetry, short stories and (most recently) a novel.

This blog is for me. It is my way of keeping track of my passion for reading and writing in one place. I hope you enjoy it.
